I’m a religious woman AND I take up space

I drive down the roads while blasting hip-hop, my hand dangling from the window

Unapologetically doing me

And taking up space

See, it’s not a contradiction

I’m not sure which movies you watched

Or what you’ve consumed

Being religious does not mean being submissive

It means being true to yourself

To your soul

To your purpose

And that means something different for each person

You can change the world

Boldly

Confidently

And modestly

Realizing your ultimate source is G-d

So stop playing small

Stop apologizing

Take up space at the weights rack

Assert your opinion

And ask for that raise

Be quirky

Be weird

Be loud

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is from our Matriach Sarah

She was one of the most humble women in the entire world

And yet, she sent away her half son, who was a really bad influence on her son

She didn’t flinch

She didn’t hesitate

She didn’t question it

Now we’re talking about the most humble, kind, and holy woman

And she sent away her half son (Yishmael) without hesitation

Because she knew it was the right thing to do

She was so connected to her truth To G-ds truth

Abraham cried out to G-d, unsure what to do & G-d said “Listen to Sarah.”

In life If you know you are doing the right thing

And aligning with your highest source

Don’t question it

Don’t doubt yourself

Don’t hesitate

Move powerfully
Without any self-consciousness
Knowing you are completely aligned with your source
